The EACOP Strike In London
I joined hundreds of passionate activists on the streets of London to take part in the #OilyMoneyOut protests, demanding urgent action against the financial support fueling the climate crisis. We gathered to hold banks, insurers, and oil giants accountable for their role in funding projects like the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP), which threatens both local communities and the environment.
The message was clear: the financial giants backing destructive fossil fuel projects need to fully consider the devastating consequences of their actions. We are standing up against the greed that is driving climate destruction and calling on institutions to divest from harmful industries.
As activists, we know the stakes are high—our planet’s future is at risk. It’s time to #StopEACOP and for financial institutions to put people and the planet before profits.
